#outandabout Found within Tampa (Fla.)’s Ybor City is J.C. Newman Cigar Company. It is the oldest family-owned cigar maker in America. Inside the 115-year-old factory, aka “El Reloj,” is a three-level museum, detailing the history of the company and cigar making, a factory store, where you can find not only cigars but other fifty items, a theater with videos highlighting the Newmans and cigar stories, and perhaps the most unique room, The American Room, where you can observe master hand rollers performing their craft. Open to the public M-F, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Self- guided tours are free, however there’s a charge for guided tours. #outandabout There is a covered portion of the over 2100 miles of the #appalachiantrail and it’s happens to be located in Georgia, south of Blairsville, at Mountain Crossings at Neel Gap. The stone building is named Walasi-Yi Interpretive Center, built by the CCC in 1934 and completed in 1937, the same year the trail was established. It served as a inn and dancing hall up until the mid ‘60s. In the early ‘80s, it became an outfitter and trail gift store. #outandabout DYK Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge in Dawsonville, Ga., is the southern gateway and approach trail for the Appalachian Trail. #outandabout Len Foote Hike Inn (Hike Inn) is an official site along the Rosalyn Carter Butterfly Trail.
